
The ScanFront 220e/220eP is embedded with eCopy ShareScan, a powerful document imaging software platform that transforms paper documents into information that is easily integrated into all commonly-used business applications and workflow.

Through the intuitive touch-screen interface, users can quickly and easily scan and distribute documents electronically by email, network, or internet fax, or scan paper documents directly to their desktop.
ShareScan enabels secure, shared scanner access through an organization's infrastructure, such as through their existing global email address book and database applications like Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle.
From one location, administrators can remotely manage and configure the ShareScan Services Manager and Connectors, and even manage an entire fleet of scanners using specialized administrative software. Direct access to Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and LDAP email accounts and address books means that administrators only need to maintain a single set of email accounts.
ShareScan performs login and authentication to prevent unauthorized access, and automatic generation of log files and reports provide a complete audit trail of all users. The ScanFront220eP additionally offers fingerprint authentication capabilities for enhanced security and convenience.

Connectors are ShareScan modules that enable the ScanFront 220e/220eP to integrate with popular business applications and services including document management systems, email, and fax servers.
Standard Connectors provide general sending functions and are built into the ShareScan Service Manager. They also offer support for secure emailing and fax sending with Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes authentication and address book, plus scan-to-printer, folder, USB memory, or eCopy Desktop.
Also bundled with the scanner is eCopy Quick Connect, which automates business workflows with sophisticated sending functions. eCopy Quick Connect offers custom 'Scan-to' buttons with versatile file naming, indexing, and destination options. Users can send to multiple destinations and to any database or workflow application, including WebDAV and Novell Netware.
Optional eCopy Connectors (sold separately by eCopy) are available for seamless integration with applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, Captaris RightFax, Interwoven Worksite, and EMC Documentum.

Included with the scanner is one license of eCopy Desktop, PC software that enables users to work faster and more efficiently with scanned documents as PDF files. It makes it easy to capture, combine, edit, and secure scanned documents through an intuitive, user-friendly interface.
